Leeds Kirkgate Market is a market in Leeds, located on Vicar Lane. It is the largest covered market in Europe. There are currently 800 stalls which attract over 100,000 visitors a week. The markets have an old fashioned aesthetic and haven't changed much since they were built in 1822, other than some expansions. The market is the starting place of Marks & Spencer which opened in Leeds Market as a penny bazaar. Stalls that are currently in the markets include; Butchers, Fishmongers, Greengrocers, Bakeries, Clothing stalls, DIY stalls, Bookstalls, Jewellery and watch shops, Toy shops, Pet shops and much more.
Vintage Market
adVintageous is a vintage market which comes to Kirkgate market the first saturday of every month, the market sells antiques and vintage things. The market event on the 1st of April will see 1940's DJs the Anderson's perform.
